Better than the "official" guitarist?

This happens often for me... not bragging, it's just that I played guitar as my main instrument for 16 years and was trained as a jazz guitarist, then switched to bass as my main axe later.

The funny thing is that the sax player in my main group may be a better bass player than me lol.

Hi, guys, I'm doing some research just out of curiosity... anyone of you ever played bass on a band where you were a better guitar player than the "official" guitarist(s) in the band? Looking forward to hear your comments

Why does it matter? I'm sure you don't play every song perfectly every single time yourself. Maybe he thinks you suck? Ever think of that?

Depending on the band, sometimes I am better than the primary guitarist, sometimes I am not, and sometimes I am the primary guitarist. I nearly always play guitar on a few songs in any band because my original guitar songs are very unorthodox with unusual tunings on modified guitars and sometimes unusual time signatures.
