That is one bada$$ rig there Thornton.

Love it.

I have read most of your thoughts about the head - but did you manage to a/b the 810 with the TC412?

Peace

Dan

Dan, I didn't bother to A/B the two cabs, mainly because I'm not into 12's and never have been. Traynor's TC-412 cab is more modern sounding than the TC-810 which is old school sounding and I'm old school. Plus I bought my TC-810 slightly used for a ridiculously stupid low price privately that I just couldn't pass up. Didn't need it when I bought it, but i'm glad that I did. It quickly became my number one cabinet.

I've sold my two 410 cabs.

Already a (probably lifetime) member, but thought I'd toss in this update. I apologize for the atrocious iPod photo (I'd get a proper camera, but I spend all my money on musical equipment....). This is my new dorm room rig for at school. The cab is a metal badge Ampeg B25 2x15 I bought from Michael_atw (great seller!), loaded with original Altec 418s (I believe the codes date them to 1970? I'd have to check). The head is a circa 1969 Sunn 200s with what I believe are the stock tubes (RCA 6550s), just another piece in the ever increasing Sunn collection.

Even my small rig is Big Cabs Club certified......

P.S. If anyone in the Northeast ever has a Sunn 200s cab they want to sell or trade, hit me up! I'm always looking.
