Big E Speakers Part 4 - Quadraphenia

Keeping in mind that I play blues Hendrix Vaughn with 4 strings and flats I really like the 46 for medium and small clubs. I have the original 48 no longer in production, and when I put my superbassman on that I am in old school bliss and can rule outdoors with no support. I have never heard the 12's or the new 110. Original 110 was brought to our bay area get together and sounded great played by TBird even with upright. I have not heard a MAS cab I did not like. I need to put the 210 flex through it's paces with different heads when my guitarist gets well and we gig again. The only collaboration I do now is small room and I use the 46 with Kustom kxb500. awesome. I have run music through it at home and it is full range bliss. I am sure any 3 way MAS would do the same though.
Last night's hit - 6 piece original band, no FOH support for bass, carried the room just fine
Good combination. I also run it with a Glockenklang Blue Rock that sounds great.

I bet that will sound great! Did you get the eminence driver?
I am going to be running mine with the Reidmar 750, though I would still like to give the Magellan a try.
I went with the 1000w Faital 4 ohm.
Mike sent a photo of the cab and also mentioned that he tweeked the crossover a bit and now positions the tweeter more in line with the main driver.
I'm really looking forward to this beastie.

My new MAS112 was delivered today. More thoughts and pics to follow in a couple days after I get some more time with it.

Lately, I've been using both my MAS112s on the gig--one with the 18Sound, one with the Faital. It's a loud rock band in a rowdy rock club, and a lot of fun.
The guitarist/BL sets up the PA and gets a good starting mix out front, and after that we balance what we hear on stage. Works pretty well; I've brought a little Tascam recorder a few times, set it on a table across the dance floor from the stage, and just let it roll through entire sets. Pretty decent live recordings, actually, considering nobody was out front running the mix.
Anyway, all the instruments have a line into the board, just to put a bit into the stacks.
(So why am I rambling on with this story, you ask...) Last weekend the BL was out front, checking the drums and me. But my channel on the board was actually muted. He listened, walked over to the board, then came over and said to me, "Wow, you are _loud_ with nothing in the house!" (Added: the guy's got good ears for a mix, and he meant it as a compliment.)
Yep, these cabs are somethin' else.
