Well, I wasn't posting here before because I was too busy gigging! Now it just sits in my storage space, all forlorn.
Before the current chaos erupted, I was gigging with five different bands/groups. My schedule was getting stacked. Now, out of those five bands, only one is playing/practicing at all, and all we've got are the live-streams. But hey, at least I got my MAS cab for practice
Challenging times! I imagine Mike has seen new orders waning when folks can't play out anyway. Restaurants and bars will be lucky to stay viable until things get better. I just play and gig for fun. It must be hard for folks who rely on that income. Best wishes for all.

Well, we haven't had any snow accumulation in this part of Florida since 1989, but when we do I'll be ready! My Audi is not being used right now, and my daughter has a Jeep Wrangler (for trips to the beach). I love AWD; when my Audi was my DD it would slice through our summer rain deluges like someone in a mask yelling "COVID-19!!" leaving a Walmart!

I, too, am very glad to hear that you both are safe and getting better. Scary times. Please stay safe (or as safe as anyone can right now).
I hesitate to ask this -- and I really don't want to derail the thread -- but when you say, "I was untested but my wife was positive," do you mean that, at some point, the second time (you said tests weren't available the first), she had a test done, or that this was merely the doctor's considered opinion? I ask because you mention two bouts with it, for each of you, and everything I've read and watched so far has stated that true re-infection (as opposed to not getting over/clearing the virus completely and then getting sick/having symptoms flare-up again in the short term) is somewhere from unlikely to extremely unlikely (though some articles say that's inconclusive). I am obviously no kind of expert on this (not even of the armchair/Youtube variety) and I don't propose to turn this thread into a COVID forum, but, since you bring it up, if such a thing were true, it would have potentially scary implications generally and for folks like my parents in particular...
Please don't feel like you have to answer any of this. It's uncharted territory for everyone -- we're all urged to act as if we and anyone we might come into contact with are carrying and could transmit the virus. I think thrice before getting groceries and don't dare go visit my folks (which has me bummed). That said, I'm healthy, family is healthy, and the sun is out. Lots to be thankful for -- have to keep that in mind and stay up.
Again, I'm glad to hear that you're safe and well. And, of course, the recent developments with the cabs sound exciting -- the sound and performance of the older (and not-so-old!) stuff was already at such a high level.

Mark---just read an article about 91 cases on S. Korea where people who got over an early confirmed diagnosis for Corona tested positive over a month later and were re-infected---not the first bout lingering. Renee was tested.
Yes.The experts like Fauchi have said we cannot return to "normal" until a vaccine is developed and administered widely. Even then, like flu vaccines there are no promises. Bugs mutate. I have my story about flu coming back around a 2nd time and knocking my ass into ER with pneumonia in the 90's but everyone should know there are possibilities. I agree with Fauchi that shaking hands etc will probably never be a good idea.
Mike, thank you for the clarification. The article you mention is sobering if accurate.
Maybe I need to catch up... I am some days behind on my reading about this stuff...
At any rate, I will hope for good developments, try to be cautious and productive, and wish everyone safety, health, and some good news here and there, on the small-scale and the large.

Mike, good to see you’re on the mend. Your passion for continuous improvement is inspiring. With these new cabs, is an MAS 28.5 in the works? Compared to the 45 which would be a better fit for electric bass with a low B playing rock, blues, and funk at med/high volume?

Already doing MAS 28.5 and Bodai 28.5.
The 28.5 is around 700 cc's. The new 45 is around 500. Low end extension and weight are similar. I'm a bit partial to a stack of two 45's. I like the size and modularity. The 45 is 22 wide by 15 tall by 12 deep.
Weighs around 34#. The stack is about the same volume as a "super" 112. Wipes the floor with my 12's.
So--if a "super" 212 would cut it--two 45's would.
Two of the 28's are around 1400 cc's.
The 45's are a bit more punchy. The 28's have a sight bit more "bloom". Either has more note weight and clarity than anything I've done previously.

Curious, Mike: is the 18.5 going to be the same size as the old 18, or slightly bigger? Could you stack it sideways (or otherwise) on an older 18?
