Big Muff Bass + Ashdown Compressor = ?

A good buy? Would the compresser improve the tone the muff, or my dry signal?

I can't find either of these pedals locally, so trying them out is not an option

One thing I can tell you for sure is that the comp would not improve the sound of the Muff. Fuzz is already very heavily compressed, so adding more compression would not improve it.

I'm not a big fan of the Ashdown, but it's OK. The BBM has some fans here, but there are also people who say they prefer the tone of different versions of the Muff. So you'll want to do some reading around here to compare what people have to say about the various Muff models.
