I've always wondered how he can pull off those pinch harmonics. I think he sort catches the string in between his thumb and index finger after plucking it with his index finger?
Impressive.

He's got great chops. Pity about the choice of musical styles. If only he played jazz. Good speed with the fingers on both hands though he was quite the show pony i think metal is alot about that. Thanks for sharing it.

Class guy and that was fun to watch. Saw him with Vai and the David Lee Roth "Eat 'Em and Smile" tour...absolutely killer show! This was at least 10 years old because according tot the site, Gilbert quit on 1996

Meh, big deal, I don't think you don't have to be "funkifized" to have soul in your playing neccessarily; frankly I loved that solo. That's coming from someone who grew up on Rocco Prestia and Tower of Power.
