Binge Watching

Anybody binge watching a series of some kind? (Netflix, Prime, etc.)

Me I am on the show "Chuck" via Prime and I haven't been this emotionally connected to a show in years. I get butterflies dying to know what happens to the point I know the ending of the entire show for I stumbled on it on YouTube and couldn't help myself. I am pissed how they ended it but yup, still watching it. I got issues. Let me put it this way, I practice bass riffs while watching it!

Ugh...am I alone on this?

If i start an on demand series i'll sometimes watch several episodes in a sitting but the only thing i've binged was Jack Ryan on Prime. It was not particularly riveting and it was more circumstance than desire. The weather really sucked so i couldn't get out to do any yard work and it was a rare day when i had nothing pressing in the shop. Wifey was off looking after her sister and i was alone at home fully rested and about to bounce off the walls with boredom so i made some snacks, got a big glass of tea and decided to soften my brain with a little mindless entertainment. I pick Jack Ryan at random and started watching it and wound up wasting most of the day watching the entire first season.

I think my longest binge watch on record was 3 hours of Hell On Wheels. I think I was online and grading papers while I did it.

If my wife and I were interested in more of the same stuff, we might binge watch together, but about all I can find that we both agree on is an occasional movie. Other than that, it's good old network TV programs.

I don't know if this qualifies as binge watching but I'll record a series then the wife and I will watch one or two episodes most every night until were through. Can't do the 'spend an entire day/weekend watching multiple seasons' thing.

We've done that with 'The Middle', Property Brothers, a few others. Lately, we've been watching a lot of 'Last Man Standing'. Just entering season 3.

Same here. A friend of mine and I would take off days of work to watch. We started when the last season started and wanted to catch up before the finale. It was ridiculous. But we realized at the time that we never would've watched it if we had to wait a week between episodes. I think Lost played a big part in making binge watching a thing.

Way back in 2002, my then girlfriend and I watched the first season of 24 in a few days. Watch until we'd pass out, wake up, go to Blockbuster to rent more episodes on VHS, watch more. That show was designed to make you want to see the next episode immediately.

I love "Chuck". Adam Baldwin is perfect in this show. The wife and I watch it every few months. "Lost" is another favorite, but I won't let y wife watch the end. She gets way to emotional. "Eureka" is another I enjoy. Right now we are watching "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" for the umpteenth time (I can't count how many times we've watched it). "DS9" is the best of the ST series. "Babylon 5" is another good one. It is surprisingly good 90's Sci-fi for not being Star Trek.

When I first got Netflix, yeah I binged several shows that I hadn't seen in their time as well as re watching series. While I do always have a few series that I follow at a time and watch an episode several days per week, I don't really binge watch anymore. Occasionally I'll let a show loop for a couple of hours while doing other stuff.

When I started this there were a few shows still in production and I hated having to wait until next season to continue watching, so I'm careful not to start a series until it was ended. AS much as I love the show, I was not happy when I realized that Game of Thrones (HBO) wasn't done yet when I watched it last year - now I gotta watch it all over again so I can remember what happened when the next season starts!

Breaking bad on Netflix was the first for me.

Just ran through The Good Place on there, too. Pretty great stuff. Now I always chuckle anytime I hear Jake Jortles, I mean, Blake Bortles.

But lots of other good ones. Sons of Anarchy was way better than I was expecting.

Netflix used to have all of the Twilight Zone episodes available and that was great being able to watch all those again since I hadn't seen them in probably thirty some years.

Currently on "Royal Pains" it's not as good as Hart of Dixie but giving it a chance. The brother in the show annoys me.
Started and well into "Bones" but losing interest and trying to get into Daredevil mostly because I found out Punisher is part of it in season 2.
