Birdsong Club Pt 2

My first Birdsong was the Fusion prototype - at the time, I was playing sitting on barstools a lot. I prefer front-jacked basses because I can rest the bass on my left leg instead of my right without hitting the cable. 3 of my 4 (and soon to be 5 of my 6) basses are fusion-body. I've always found them comfortable to play seated, on either leg. The last bass (Richard the Test Bass - the old Birdsong R&D bass) is a Corto-body, but and while I don't find it nearly as comfortable as the Fusions, I don't have any real problems either.

I have no problems playing my Corto seated... no slipping issues as long as I remove my wallet n keys from my pocket... same for any of my basses. Come spring, I will have n H5 to compare...

Thanks for the #. This is a memorial bass dedicated to my late wife who passed away on 6/27/20 from a heart attack. Her ashes will be mixed with a resin epoxy and fill in the knot hole on the back, (something that Scott mentioned in the description). Somehow, unfortunately/fortunately everything just came together as far as timing and this just had to be my next custom. It was a pleasure meeting and talking with Scott. He really understood the depth of the situation and I know he'll do his best to honor her memory.

Has anyone ever tried EB Cobalt strings on the Corto2 style instruments?

I got too impatient waiting until sometime next year for my first Birdsong, so FedEx has my first (used) one somewhere across the middle of the country right now. Sometime next week I'll have a 2019 Corto2 to start playing with until Scott can get around to my bottom-of-the-queue custom order.

Ohhhh....thats not a Corto 2, that's why I was confused......that was a nice price, good score. That just has dual humbuckers. My favorite Sadhana has that setup....good choice, I definitely prefer it to the single in the neck.
