I use a hard case for my Shortbass, but Scott normally provides a gig bag with them. I'd give him a call (512.395.5126) and ask him about his bags and why he chose them. He prefers the phone to email (no texting), and you should get to know the maker of your beautiful new bass anyway.
I've tried quite a few bags, always guitar sized, and even my HY5s fit in them. From a cheapo Fender branded one, to the Mono stuff.....they all fit pretty much ok.
Looks sweet, I always liked that blackwash look, have to think about that for another build down the line.
I have PB-04 and HY5 083 in progress, the oil just went on the HY5 last week...I'm really liking the look.
The PB is what Scott describes as "a plank of Spanish Cedar that looks just like the old Honduran Mahogany I used to get", I'm excited to see how this one turns out!

I'm more a fan of mild looking wood but this will look really sharp with the blackwashed finish.
My main bass is made out of Cypress, which is a blondish wood, and my 5 string will be Spanish Cedar, which is also a lighter wood. This should really stand out and I think the darker woods will really suit the instrument.
The Especial II Scott built for me last year is out of flood cypress - really nice looking wood. He's currently building me a custom guitar out of Spanish Cedar - looking forward to it. I too like the look of the straight grained Spanish Cedar JayDA posted. I'll have to check with Scott on what he's planning to use on my guitar.

He also spent 20-30 minutes with me on the phone giving me the rich history of my '06 Sadhana, the 8th Sadhana ever made and the memorable original owner of it, Jerry, whom it is named after.

Stage One Electric Guitar Bag
I am a HUGE fan of Access Stage One gig bags. I have two of them and use them for any of my four birdsongs that leave the house (3 Fusion bodies and a Cortobass body). I've never tested one with the little tail on the Sadhana, but my guess is it should still be good.

Scott designed, built offshore and assembled here by Thin the Herd. I had one of the prototypes, which I sold.
The short story, the opposite of why I like Birdsongs. Big P width neck, with a very flat fingerboard, no forearm contour....just felt very BIG compared to my Birdsongs.
On the plus side it SOUNDED absolutely wonderful, stock electronics were a lot nicer than I thought they would be.
Nothing wrong with it, I'm just spoiled....and I like the Birdsong stuff better.
There is a signed prototype available on the Scott's inventory page, in white, that has been tempting me.

Bought the natural T-bass above.
Beautifully finished and set up.
Cleartone strings off-Nickel rounds on.
Sounds great and plays well enough.
Light years ahead of Danos-Eastwoods
It's not a Birdsong, but somewhere in between one and a Fender, style-wise
and better than a MIM Fender quality wise, maybe slightly less than MIA.
For $650, if I have to leave it in the car.............
