My latest order has evolved. It was planned as "fusion body, c-bass pickup, mahogany w/tort control plate."
The wood/control plate has been the main change. I'm leaning towards a combo of walnut, mesquite, and bloodwood. All of this will be subject to change until Scott actually starts working on it, at which point I promised him I'd stop tweaking the order.
My second Birdsong back in 2007 was a walnut-winged fusion with two strips of ebony down the center with a single thin stripe of bloodwood like a laser beam down the middle. I'm considering doing that with two stringers of mesquite and the bloodwood thin-stripe.

This bass is great, plays like a dream, variety of sounds is incredible, I'm out of superlatives-back to playing-sorry about picture but I ain't got time to take pictures, I'm playing the son of a gun best electric bass by far I've ever had, custom Fusion 2 on old Hy5 body, spanish cedar

Here's my new custom Sadhana fretless; it has shipped and should be arriving Tuesday. Needless to say, I can't wait to play it.
Just received mine last week it exceeded my expectations, it was actually smaller than I thought from the pictures. Great bass, really was showing up flaws in my technique. Amazing
