What a nice example. I am in a recording project with a guy who plays one of these, so get to hear it soloed all the time, and it just sounds so good. Enjoy!
I always found it interesting that one of the reasons Geddy switched from the Rickenbacker to Jazz was the weight. Alot of those older Jazz basses are boat anchors. I can only imagine how heavy the Rickenbacker was. Personally, I love a heavy Jazz.
Nice bass OP, I love that neck. I'm holding out for one in Crimson like the limited release Fender did 10 years ago. I think I'll be waiting quite awhile longer.
I'm really digging the look of neck with fret markers and the color of the body plus pickguard. Just looks sooooooooo classy.
Love my CIJ 2008 Geddy. The neck is what I like the best. The Bass Shop is a great place to work with. I have bought and sold through them a bit over the years and always been happy. I should note, my Geddy now has a tort pickguard. Sounds much better than the white pearloid.
My favorite Fender ever. Loved mine . Just not comfortable for me , the big jazz body.
Beautiful Bass! Even though it was not my favorite Jazz Bass tone, its beauty and quality of construction was undeniable.
