That looks amazing!Lots of pearl options on Amazon that are outside the box. Blue, Purple, Orange, Gold, Silver, etc.
I went gold pearl for my new J bass. At $15 a pop you could buy a few different pickguards and see what you like, or switch them out when you get tired of the same look.

I'd recommend celluloid Tort; Spitfire, Lavaguard or Avantguard - but will cost almost as much as a Squier.
These are the the best I've seen for the price and is a definite upgrade to "modern" Tort.
