Black Jazz Bass Pickguard Options

Celluloid is gorgeous, but inherently unstable. As is common on many old celluloid guards, it shrinks over time and blows out at the screw holes. Plus, it’s violently flammable. Some states charge hazardous materials fees to allow it to be shipped.
 
Don’t hate this look either.

I'd recommend celluloid Tort; Spitfire, Lavaguard or Avantguard - but will cost almost as much as a Squier.

These are the the best I've seen for the price and is a definite upgrade to "modern" Tort. :thumbsup:

yeah...Spitfires aren't cheap, but totally worth the money (I've got one on my Funkmachine replica)...that said, Greasy Groove makes some cool options
