Currently have a tort pickguard in pretty rough shape (pickguard is the only thing in rough shape). Want to replace the guard. Any options that you might suggest?

Black Jazz Bass Pickguard Options

White or antique pearl on a black bass with a rosewood board would look pretty tasty, imho.
I changed the guard on my Geddy to black and thought it looked really nice.
Later, I took that off and left it bare! Which also looks black, of course. That's my favorite look so far.

Of the ones you've posted, I like the Antique Pearl. Also, (not listed) Carbon fiber or matte black looks kinda cool.
Tort on black is a total vibe dude, it's what my P is dressed in as a Vintage II reissue. I love it...

A better looking tort, more "brown" than "red" would be a big improvement. Stark white looks a little to cheap to me, how about a Parchment guard? it's not as glaring as pure white, and looks great against jet black.

I've always been a fan of black on black, but Black Pearl might work.
Sharpie the edge of the existing tort pg (Off the bass!) and it’ll look way better for cheap. And if you don’t like it, fall back to replacing it.
I'd recommend celluloid Tort; Spitfire, Lavaguard or Avantguard - but will cost almost as much as a Squier.
These are the the best I've seen for the price and is a definite upgrade to "modern" Tort.
