Black Jazz / Ebony - Which Pickguard?

It would be great to have some kind of sticky post with pictures of all the possible pickguard and color combinations for the major brand/models of bass guitars. Of course the answer will be tort for any color bass according to the strong majority of TB'ers.After all these threads, TalkBass should license an app or website that picks the best pickguard color for you.
You input in all your information (body color, neck woods, pickup colors, hardware colors)... spin the wheel/pull the lever and it tells you (based on TalkBass user posts) what color pickguard you should go with.

Body was in-stock so I have no option to rear-route it. It is front routed for controls and two J pickups.

White Pearl, White, W/B/W. If you tend to wear black shirts on stage like I do, you want people to be able to see the bass in the 2 seconds they look at you. Or maybe not!

If you go with a guard, I think a single ply matte black on a gloss black bass looks pretty rich. What about a one piece guard kinda like a Squier Bronco or a Strat?
I had to make one for a short scale project. I traced the old guard for template, laid a jazz control plate over the drawing until it lined up and looked right.
Ya know...... It's not that awfully difficult to paint the headstock. All black hardware, guard and knobs. Tempting isn't it?
Ah, that does change things considerably. However, it's a fair bet you'd be using the same size control plate, yes? If so, and if you have access to another Jazz bass, you could take some measurements to use for it's placement. If it were me, I'd use some tracing paper, trace the outline of the control plate, including the screw hole positions, and use that as an installation guide. Then I'd lay it over the new body's control route, tape it firmly down once I'm satisfied with it's position, then drill out some pilot holes. (I'm all about low-tech solutions!
)
