well i was leaning towards black but with all the tort love i think ill actually get both if i get one ill probably always wonder what the other would look like anyway then ill have three looks to choose from
i have a black on black P but i have seen black with tort and that looks very coolyeah had to stir it up,if it's a `burst' i like all 3 and never squeeled about a white one,,,now to hijack a bit i have a black bass that i'm still deciding what to do with it(`tuxedo' is not cutting it

,and a blue agave J that will probably get a tort but i'm struggling with that combo in my mind
yeah! white is great on a burst,no wonder you havent been in a hurry(i always had bursts until 3-4 months ago),,ever see a burst with a black pearl guard?,,saw one on ebay=looked nice
I like the tort. Here's my burst with tort:

Black. Tort on sunburst just seems too "country" to me. Not that there's anything WRONG with that, if you're into that kind of thing.

I voted Black as I dont think the red element of tort quite suits a sunburst finish,but thats just me
I swapped this over from my mex jazz to replace the white one on my MIA model.I like it as its the best of both minus the red Better than the White for sure.

Trust me, a lot more country dudes have played sunburst/tort than those guys.
I have a Perloid guard on my Jazz 'burst and a tort guard on my P 'burst. Tort has always been my preference on a P-Bass, but a Jazz is just a different critter all the way around!!!
I have clear PG for it, but I don't like the look.
I agree that figure looks great. If the bass had been built as a standard, and Sadowsky had done the rear route and left it all clean on the front, it would look great. But, with the clear PG and the control plate, you get that floating control plate look, ala Jaco, which I absolutely hate.
The only thing that looks worse, IMO, is the AC look, which is the PG with no plate.
Trust me, a lot more country dudes have played sunburst/tort than those guys.

That being said I have a sunburst Precision in tort and a sunburst Jazz in black. The Jazz doesn't look bad, but I plan to put a tort pickguard it.
