I have my CV 50s P Bass. Love the looks and feel, just hate the single coil hum. Would it be blasphemy to put a hot rails pick up in it? I know Lindy Fralin($140) and Nordstrand($125) make split pups for the 50s P to eliminate the hum, but I had a hot rails in my Bronco that sounded just fine. Even had a push/pull switch for series/parallel. Has anyone else done or seen this before? Should I just pony up for the Lindy?
