Kid's got good timing. The drum line might seem more interesting if we actually heard the music that went with it.

Seems like it, but we know it doesn't.
I don't know how much emotion you expect him to feel when:
1. The drums were not written by a drummer.
2. The drums were not meant to be played by a drummer.
3. He is not playing it because he likes the song, he's playing it to show that it can be played by a human.

Really man, you shouldn't get mad when you ASK for peoples OPINIONS and then you don't like what you hear.
I was trying to be diplomatic with my first post, but the drumming's really not that impressive. If that's the best you think anyone is humanly capable of, I suggest you listen to more drummers.
I don't fault him for playing it. If you want to get mad at anyone, be mad at yourself for thinking it was interesting enough to post.

No crap it's humanly possible. (PS - it's blaspheme...without the "T"). Bands choose drum machines not b/c you can't possibly find someone to play that fast, but because it's just a lot easier to program a machine - not to mention one less person asking for money.
And besides, I'll take Buddy Rich any day! Speed, precision, emotion, and style!

I never implied that was the best drumming humanely capable, at all. And I figured since a lot of people I know think that the ability to do 3 minutes of blast beats at 245 beats per minute at the age of 18 is pretty impressive.
No sir, it's blastphemer. It's a Portmanteau of Blasphemer and Blast, check the name. And I never implied that I thought it was impossible.
No it sounds like I was saying he wanted to prove a person can play it. I posted this for DM and BM fans. Hopefully if they see it they'll appreciate it.Sure sounded like you were saying its the best a human can achieve.

1) He's not playing a proper blast. He's using both feet ("newschool") and playing the snare in sync with the kick. A proper blast is with one foot and alternates the snare with the kick.
2) Seamless changeups to the 6/8 time signature and back to the 4/4 blast. Very nice footwork.
3) Stupid? Unmusical? Lacking emotion? He's playing a song as written, and not overplaying.
This is a textbook example of "newschool" blackmetal drumming. He has excellent clock, maintaining the constant snare with the left hand while the right hand floats to play the accents. Watch videos of Hellhammer (Mayhem) to see the originator of the technique.

Hellhammer is such an amazing drummer. That whole Snare-accent rocks because he indirectly influenced hundreds of drummers to play that way.
Haha yeah Satyricon is a really good band too, they changed they're style a lot though, but still good.

Nice blasts, but it's not something out of the realm of Hellhammer or Inferno. My main complaint is that his tone is so crappy. If you want really good DM drumming look up the studio video for the new Behemoth album and watch the drum recording....amazing stuff, mainly because Inferno manages to work fills that aren't your standard roll across the toms fills in between blast beats to keep it interesting.
