Blend Pot Problems

Thanks to Matt Liebenau's earlier post I found this graphic that shows how an MN blend pot works, which makes sense:

From that and my reading to date I think that a 100K MN blend pot is likely to be my best option, on the basis that the 100K item will give a wider range of variation than a 250K item. Problem is getting a 100K item, all seem to be either 250K or 500K.

I understand the diagram. Excuse the crude phone drawing. An AC blend pot would be the same but with a log and reverse log taper instead of a sigmoid taper.

I'm just saying an AC Blend pot should be 100% in the middle position for both sources. Same as an MN taper.

I was thinking the ac pot was a log taper on one side and reverse log on the other. That would not give 100% in the middle. If the pot you have doesn’t say mn I’d find one that does or use a 3 way switch. I’m not a fan of all the putzing around with knobs anyway.
