Figure that roughly sound travels a foot every millisecond. So, really there'll be little delay. But be sure to listen for wave cancellation anyway.

And 1.135 ft. per millisecond is roughly 1ft/ms.

You can't use mic placement to correct more than a few hundred microseconds worth of phase mismatch between mic and DI, totally impossible in other words, you need electronics which your average bar PA doesn't have. If it sounds great it's luck.
