blood

so i got a little bit of blood on my fretboard..becuase one of my fingers split open while playing..do you think this will really harm it i mean it's just a tiny bit around the first fret near the top

Clean it off...don't want it harbouring bacteria!

I remember once, I had cut the top of my index finger without realising, and as I was wiping my bass down after playing it, I noticed loads of bloodspots on the face of my bass from where I had been popping. Wiped right off too!

It will clean off as long as you don't wait too long and let it get too hard/dry.

Timely post for me, mcdowell!

I almost literally amputated the tip of my left index finger (fretting hand) while cutting a ham last night and have spent the last hour or so trying to figure out a way to play bass with only my middle, ring and pinky fingers.:( I have final auditions with 2 different bands on Wed and Thurs.:crying:

It is much harder than it sounds and I inadvertantly started putting a bit of pressure on my index finger and voila..... bloody Bongo! It wiped off easily with Dunlop guitar cleaner/polish and a cloth.
