Bloodwood Fingerboard Finish

For those have use bloodwood and have applied a finish to it, what have you found to work best?
I've got a build going and am doing a fretted bloodwood fingerboard. Looking for some ideas.
I've thought about leaving it unfinished, but after getting some over-spray on it from when I was doing the body, the iridescent nature of the piece really popped out, so I'd like to keep that look.
I thought about doing a nitro finish which is what the body has, but I'm worried about down the road having the finish lift from the wood.

I've personally never used a finish on bloodwood, but bloodwood will shine up without a finish incredibly well. If you haven't tried, start wet sanding and buffing it, it'll shine.

Take a piece of scrap from the build and try various finishes on it. Lemon oil is always good. I have some rosewood that I'm using that really looks cool with it.

Do not put finish on it. Howard's feed n wax.

I wet sand them with Watco Danish oil

when fretted, I like to sand to 600, and use a thinned epoxy a a sealer, then a couple coats of polyurethane for a gloss. Not something I do often because Bloodwood polishes out so nicely without finish, just sand to 1200 and polish with wax, and you get a great shine.

Boiled linseed oil. Nearly foolproof to apply, and brings out nice deep red tones.

if u don't seal it he color will oxidize a bit over time. I sealed mine with Krazyglue and a razor. When sanded with 2000 grit automotive sand-paper, It reflected things like a mirror. Here is a link to the thread with the pics i took of it:
