Blown JBL E140 - any replacement suggestions?

Fellow bassists,
A quick hi from a long time lurker. These questions are being asked all the time but I would appreciate any response to my request. I have a blown JBL E-140 15" speaker (400watts, 8 ohms). The factory recone sets are insanely expensive here in Australia ($420 AUD) and I am not so sure about aftermarket products. I read quite a lot about Eminence speakers on this forum. I am sure there would be one available to match the old JBL dimensions. However, I am not technically minded and not sure if I could get Winisd working properly to do my own calculations. The cab dimensions are 22" x 22" x 14"D with two round vents at the front. Any suggestions?
Oh, and I'll be pairing it with 4x10 RBH. Thanks.

Assuming those are interior dimensions - you wouldn't have sent us anyting else, right ? You have around 4 cu ft of space. A kappa lite 3015LF might be happy in there. You would likely have to play with the port tuning. If that box was correct for the JBL, then those ports are 4" dia about 6" long.

I've had JBL's coned with the factory stuff and also after market. No difference. The real difference is in the quality of the installer - not so much the kit. Here it's about 50% more for the JBL kit.

Wow, what a quick response. Thanks 4Mal. Yes they are internal dimensions. The port holes are 4". Not sure what you mean by 6" long. Mine are just ...'holes'. Unless someone pulled some stuff out. Maybe a noob question
but - how does one tune the ports? Looks like Kappalite 3015lf is the go.

The weight savings and power handling improvements are real pluses.

3015LF should only be used along with a midrange driver, paired with a 4x10 it will be fine. As good as the 140 was in its day that day was 20 years ago, time to move on.

The cabinet must be tuned via ducts on the ports for the driver to operate properly. Download WinISD from linearteam.org.

I don't know, but a healthy K140 sounds so good to me. I play better. I run two single K140's in about 3.6 cu foot cabinets, and put one on each side of our drummer.
I have tried PAS, Eminence, and Black Widow, and the K140 just sounds so much better to me.
Our four piece band is not killer loud, and that gets us lots of nice gigs.
For the past 7 years, in season (April to Oct), we play every Tuesday night on a nice big deck, and there is a very nice band following. Many musicians come to hear this band due to its popularity in our area. Since switching to the pair of K140's, I have had many bass players come up to me on a break complimenting my sound. I tell them its the K140's.
I usually use a Gallien Krueger 800RB, but am trying a new class d lightweight. It has a clearer top end, but not quite the power and focus in the low end.
I have just bought a blown K140, and am about to do a recone done by myself to compare to my two K140's that have original cones. The magnet ass'y is in the hands of OCS for a magnet "recharge". I want to see if there is a difference.

As this is fresh again and for others who might have a similar problem: I couple of years back I bought, via Ebay, three blown JBL 2205 chassis for $25 apiece. searching through Ebay yet again, I found genuine JBL 2225 re-cone kits for about a $100 each. The local re-cone guy i use, Santon Audio (I've used Bob's services for decades) installed the kits for about $40 apiece. I ended up with a ceramic and two AlNiCo magnet drivers. They have sat in their boxes until earlier this week when I installed the Ceramic unit into a cabinet. I built this in the early Eighties for a friend who returned it empty. I've just used it once since at a rehearsal. It sounded superb. Not close to my Acme B2s but more than sufficient for rehearsal duties. The cabinet is being driven from one channel of a Carvin DCM1000L pushed by an ART Tube Channel 259 - my #3 amplifier.
