Not the most recent pics, but still…ZOMG BLUE!! 
Since then, I've replaced the bridge (chrome American Standard), the neck pickup (Fender MIJ) and the neck (Aerodyne!). However, the blocks did look pretty damn cool, so I may invest in a set of vinyl, white pearl inlay stickers with a customized 12th fret block from Jockomo.

I should be a member here pretty soon, if a very cheap old neglected Squier Affinity P bass in Baltic Blue will get you in the door of this club.
I was trying out a bass amp at a shop a few weeks back and the first bass I could find was this older Affinity. I've owned and played (and really liked) several Squier instruments, but I had never really played an Affinity.
Anyways, so I'm testing out this amp and I realize a smile is spreading across my face. This pretty beat up old Affinifty P bass that was basically hidden in a corner covered by dust and cords and cables and with a bunch of guitars in front of it so I could barely see the headstock sticking up was beginning to speak to me.
It was lightweight, felt and played really good. True neck--not a single dead spot. Even sounded darned good.
It was like being at an animal shelter and some old dog looks at you as if to say "Take me home mister, please? I still have love to give."
I couldn't resist. Had it bundled into the amp deal (they are in layaway at the moment...should have them by the end of the month.)
The bass will end up costing me $40.
I already have new Fender chrome knobs, a new premium wiring harness and jack, an older P pickup from a CIJ bass and a reddish tort guard which looks really good with the blue. Probably go with a cream pickup cover too.
Initially I was going to refinish it, but I have come more and more to like the blue, and all the gorgeous blue basses on this thread have only reinforced my fondness for the blue.
Right now it looks like the pic below, but I think the mods/cosmetic enhancements I have planned for it will give it more character, and I will post pics once I have it and it's out of surgery:

I've come across a few really nice old Affinity P's, amazing value, and incredibly underrated!
I've ended up with three blue basses . All three fairly recent acquisitions. Hard to go wrong with a nice blue. 
L to R: Squier Affinity J- LPB, Peavey Milestone-Gulfcoast blue, Ibanez SR250-Soda Blue Burst. The Peavey is the cheapest bass I have, but may be the best sounding. Go figure.

Got this delivered two weeks ago.

Do you know what I wouldn't do for a trans blue Jazz bass!!! Is this a Japanese Jazz, I have never seen one of these beforeThis is mine. I can't get the grain to show when I take the pics, so I kept the ones from the shop where I bought it.

Take a minute and think about the pickup covers... grain matched, pole pieces exposed... AMAZING bass.
Eight years later but I'll throw my three into the ring, I do love the blue ones.
