Blue Steels - hex or round core ?

I've been doing a lot of research for strings for my new Ibanez headless, and I'm interested in the Dean Markley Blue Steel strings. The way the Ibanez clamps on the strings round core is not recommended.

Anyone know the core type on these?

That's great to hear they suit your 505. I feel like the 1005 has a somewhat similar tone.
