BLUE STEELS!!!!

O.o after 3 months and good and broken in, they don't clank, they aren't borken, and I don't consider them dead by any means. Although I'm not married to them (DR Hi-Beams all the way) they're good strings for me. Don't know how all you fools are breaking em :D.

I think all the people who complain about breaking them here are just a small portion of those who play the strings and hated em, while those who liked em are too busy making music and too happy to check their internet.

I tried them back in the mid 90's on my Washburn 6 string, and while I dug 'em, haven't revisited them 'til last year when I put them on my fretted 'Ray 5. I put a fresh set on this spring. Still going strong. Check out Cooler Days Ahead & Tom Jones Boots on my MySpace to hear 'em tracked direct thru an Earthworks pre. I've kept 'em clean and dry and they still sound great to my ears today. :)

I love the sound and the feel of them. I never had a set die on me. The killer was they kept breaking very easily on with my trem bridge. Switched back to EB Slinkies that last quite a bit longer with the trem but if Blue Steels lasted longer I would be using them.

One of the few bass strings I've had break. +1 on the clank.

+1 on the break + 2 on the clank. I used to use them becuase they sounded great on my jazz, but then both myself and my friend started having problems with them breaking and inconsistancies on bass as well as guitar.... really bad when you break a brand new set of strings on your guitar. Anyway after that we pretty much said no more to the blue steels.
