BLUE STEELS!!!!

Have you tried the nickel version of the Blue Steels?

Yes, and they are what inspired me to hook up with Dean Markley. I never really cared for the tone of the regular Blue Steels, but the NPS (nickel plated steels) preserve that clarity and presence but warm it up with the nickel plating. Kinda reminds me of putting a tube in the front end of a preamp.

Yeah, I endorse Dean Markley, but it's because I like the NPS Blue Steels, not the other way around.

Have you tried the nickel version of the Blue Steels? I haven't seen much discussion about them, but I'm lovin' them on my Jack Casady.

Shouldn't they be called Blue Nickels, then? ;)

I tried a set a while back, and got maybe two days' worth of play out of them. They croaked hard, too. Haven't used them since.
