Double Bass bluegrass jams in NYC

Anyone know any good jams in NYC; I'm can't wait to take out my new bass!

Mona's on Monday, or Michael Daves' Jam at the Parkside Lounge on the first Monday of the Month, the Grissly Pear on Wednesdays, Sunny's on Saturdays, Paddy O'Reilly's on Sundays.

There's a bunch more too.

I was there last night. They have sick awesome musicians, but they already have a house bass player. I have work Wednesdays Fridays and Saturday nights, so those are the only nights I'm not looking to jam.

I want to check out the Irish joint on Sunday, but I want to find a place that doesn't have a steady bass player already! Ps; that Saturday night gig is great. I got to go to it once, and they even have a house bass!

I don't how it is in the bluegrass world here, but most jazz joints don't really have enough room to juggle uprights whenever somebody jumps up. Even if I'm coming from a gig and HAVE my bass, I usually find a place to stash it and play whatever's already on the stand.
