Apparently these guys are putting out a bluegrass version of the entire rock opera "Tommy." Had to laugh at the concept ... but here's "Pinball Wizard" and it ain't bad ...

Heard a ska version of Tommy a while ago, liked it, and now I like this. It's a great album for interesting interpretation.

I rather liked this version; I thought that it respected the sound and feel of The Who's original.

I agree that there are WAY too many versions of bluegrass covers that shoe-horn a rock song into a stock bluegrass formula, but I think that the HillBenders successfully avoided that trap here.

Listened to hayseed Dixie the other day.
I also just bought a Mandobird (Solidbody Mando) so I'm thinking of learning some of them.
