Yes he is one of the greats. Duck is pretty much on the tops of most lists or at least should be. But he, like Tommy Shannon and Allen Woody are pretty well known, at least in bass circles. As well as Jack Bruce, Ray Brown, David Schools and even Roscoe Beck.
TBone64 really came up with a great listing. I know the bands and the music but wasn't aware of the bassists involved in those projects.
