Bobby Dall from poison questions

I noticedcbobby dall almost always plays Yamaha PJ basses. I'm just wondering how often boddy dall actually dials in the J pickup on those BB basses. Seems his tone is always fat yet articulate. It sounds like he could just be using the P pickup with just sum treble turned up on the tone control for a bit of edge. What are your thoughts and opinions fellow bassists? I've ner heard him do any slap or funk ehere the J would Realy need to turned up.

Yea now that I'm listening to some poison songs on my headphones closer it sounds like it's a PJ combo he's using on most songs at least. His tone is fat and punchy but has that single coil zing to tighten his tone up,a bit I think. That photo must be from before he discovered Yamaha HB basses. I've seen him use fender PJ bass Sumtimes also.

Bobby's tone was set with the pots in the control cavity. He had only the volume knob accessible, so he's probably using both pickups blended in a way he doesn't want altered by bumping a tone knob on stage.
