Hope so!19 of the 28 remaining MIL games are against sub .500 teams. And a 7 game lead over the Cubs with 28 left. They have very little to worry about.

I hope the Godz Of Baseball don't read this....They frown upon these types of predictions. They have very little to worry about.
Rewind to August 2011: Braves fans have nothing to worry about. They have a 10.5 game lead over the Cards in August.I hope the Godz Of Baseball don't read this....They frown upon these types of predictions.

Jays sweep the M'sThis weekend the M's come to town to figure out which team has been more of a disappointment this season![]()
There has got to be a better way to end a blowout than watching a ss throw 45mph lollipops. And for good measure the ump tightens up the strike zone.Red Sox suck in the Bronx
That is all

You are welcome. The Mariners have reverted to type.Jays sweep the M'sSorry @Gaolee
Only 1.5 games back in the WC race. Keep winning! Cleveland is next on the schedule, which is important since they currently hold the third WC spot. Gotta get W's against Baltimore later this month too.
Nice of them to roll over and play dead tonightYou are welcome. The Mariners have reverted to type.
Is the first round still the "wildcard" one game winner takes all? At least it used to be 10 years ago but I recall a TON of Dodger fans crying about it because the Dodgers would choke on that one game and they were outta the post season. I thought it was perfect then.*Since the expanded playoffs are here to stay, I'd rather first round be 1 game, then 2 of three, and so on, 4 of 7 for would series.
Better chance the season ends before the first snow, and shorter series adds pressure.
I'm sort of the opposite. Baseball outcomes can be so random that a single game shouldn't determine who moves on. I'm not saying every series should be best-of-seven, but I'd want best-of-five for the first two rounds.Since the expanded playoffs are here to stay, I'd rather first round be 1 game, then 2 of three, and so on, 4 of 7 for would series.

First round now is best of 3, all games played in the home park of the higher seeded team. Three consecutive days.Is the first round still the "wildcard" one game winner takes all?
It is what they do this season. The fork is out. They seem to know it.Nice of them to roll over and play dead tonight
