I haven’t listened to Blues Traveler in ages. So yesterday I got turned on to Charismatic Voice on YouTube where a classically trained singer analyzes all kinds of contemporary music and she did a deep dive on Hook by BT. Man, Bobby was a monster. I saw him with Blues Traveler a couple times and he was playing a P bass. Besides that rich, middy sound from the P (and virtuoso fingers), is there any other special sauce in his tone? Was he known to favor any specific gear? Ampeg, maybe?
