Hey everyone,
I'll be reading through some Boccherini cello sonatas with a friend (he'll be playing cello, I'll be playing bass). Should I perform the basso continuo line as if I'm reading regular bass music (i.e. an octave lower than the original), or should I take it up the octave? It's doable either way, but I just wanted to know what standard practice was regarding this.
