I had one bass with binding. The next morning after the gig I found some memory cloth. 10 minutes and never an issue again.

uhm, that was a Rick, right?
my Gretsch doesn't have a sharp binding, my Hofner doesn't have a sharp binding. binding is not always equal to a 'sharp corner'.
So, the binding on your basses has a 1/2” radius
Never wore a wristband and don't ever intend to. I'm playing bass not sweating to a Jane Fonda video., so you can take my word for it, you'll be buying a lot of long wristbands.

This post is useless without pics.I think it looks sharp. I have a (quilted) Brian Moore, (white) Epi JC, (black) Steiner XM2 and a (Ruby Red) Ric that all enjoy it. For me, binding tends to kick it up a notch.
emery cloth?I had one bass with binding. The next morning after the gig I found some memory cloth. 10 minutes and never an issue again.
emery cloth?
No, I know what it is. You typed ‘memory’ cloth. Thought maybe you found something newfangled! It's an old definition of fine sandpaper. Showing my age I guess.

Somehow I missed this one. With Binding
(didn't include any ABG's as they always have binding)
Hollow and Semi-Hollow always seem to have binding.
