body blanks, difficulty?

So I'm thinking of purchasing a body blank bass to work on myself.

What's the level of difficulty involved in this process? I'm very skilled in electronics, so I'm less worried about that aspect. I think the measuring is my fear haha.

If you buy a pre-routed blank (like warmoth) you can wire it up, bolt the neck on and play it. The rest is just cutting, sanding, and finishing. It depends on what you're shooting for.

I built a guitar body from planks in HS wood shop (do they still offer that?) back in the day, somehow got the neck route right. I had a whole shop to work with though.

As long as you have the basic woodworking tools and a reasonable amount skill with your hands, and of course the time, you won't have any problem making your own body from a blank. It's fun and somewhat enlightening the first time. You will learn a lot. It's worth it.
