Body thickness?

I think Aerodyne basses are 1-1/4", seems to work fine with a Fender bolt on neck design.

At the edges, Aerodynes are thin, but where the neck mounts, they're not that thin - the body tapers a lot from the middle to the edges.

I have one bass that's barely 1 1/8" thick. It's a problem to fit some electronics packages in something that thin, but 1 1/4" may be better. I wouldn't hesitate to build at 1 1/4" if you knew your preamp choice (if any) would fit.

+1, check to make sure the body is thick enough for your pickups & electronics, plus another 1/4."

Gibson L9 bodies (Grabber, Ripper, G3) are thin and wide. The edges are contoured. The Ripper is by far the thinnest bass I own. P bass bodies are huge by comparison.
