I don't think it's a fuzz. Soundclips are up.
Ok so this is certainly a wierd pedal. The "tone" knob takes away bass at counter-clockwise and adds bass clockwise.

I know a distortion pedal that has a tone knob that does that. The RAT series all act that way. Could it be a RAT?

ahh Rat does have polarity inverted does it?
rat pedals are NPN, and the tone control is a high cut rather than a low cut
