Bongo Clearance NYC

your such jammy bastards living in america...

In England things are twice as much...

how shall I put it... in England that 799 dollar musicman would be about what... £450-ish - a MIM jazz costs about £550 over here...

A typical Rickenbacker 4003 costs about $15-1600...

a Kustom Groove Head costs $13-1500

a Behringer BD1-thingy is about $70-80

y'know, just annoys me a bit - nearly bought the Kustom head on ebay, then I realised that the electrics would all be wrong and I had to cancel it (it was about $4-500 cheaper!!     !!!!)

I stand corrected! I noticed two very small paint chips in the headstock on very close examination that I previously thought were reflections/glare. They were very small, but since the guys at that GC swore it was in perfect condition (and I know I didn't do it), I decided to make an exchange for the one at the Cleveland GC, which was $50 cheaper and flawless (no extra glue at the strap pins either). It also appeared to be newer- there was still cellephane on the pickguard.

Dude, you have a Bongo now? Dayum man! Three Elricks and now a Bongo too! How do you find time to play them all? :D I gotta get over to your place sometime and check out all these new toys of yours. :)

Yeah, since the house hunt isn't going well and we have our deposit set aside already, we're taking the opportunity to buy all the goodies we won't be able to once we get a mortgage. It's a much different bass than the Elricks, so I think I'll still be able to give out equal playing time to them all.

It was mostly my wife's doing....we happened to pass by a GC while in Wisconsin, and she asked if I wanted to stop by. I went to the bass section, and she asked how much I owe on my GC card. I said "nothing," and she said I should buy a bass if I found one I liked (there's another 12 months no interest thingy there right now)- one I wasn't so afraid of using around my daughter for fear of damage. She's extremely supportive. I was inspired by the sound that your Bongo had, so I picked up a five-string and it felt great. I'll post a thread once I finish setting it up and put a ramp on it today.
