Bongo Fretless Help

Hey,

I really want a 4 string fretless piezo dual humbucker bongo. They are too expensive. All I can find used is either a dual humbucker without piezo, or a piezo single humbucker. Which is better? I want the possibility of a really thick sound, but I've also heard lots about how the piezo adds a good ambience to the sound.

Hm, considering they are too expensive by now, if it's your dream bass, why don't you wait a little longer in order to save up some more money so you'll be able to afford it. If I were you, I'd really wanted to be absolutely content when I bought such a bass, so it should be perfect right out of the box. I think this would be worth waiting a little longer to get it.

:eyebrow: Piezos can often have a very wide range of tones, which is completely determined by string and technique. They can definitely add a nice degree of thick warmth, although often sound entirely too bright on fretted basses.

That must be my experience, thus the nature of my post. Thanks for the clarification.
