Boom Bass Cabinets

Whats so embarrassing about the British Broadcasting Corporation?
I love my BBC Matrix cab. Best cab I've ever used (given that I have only used a handful). I'm not scared to be seen with the BBC name. But if you dont like it on the front you can simply remove the label (at leased on mine you can).

While the British Broadcasting Corp might be better known, BBC also refers to a certain kind of "equipment" configuration in P***.

That's what is giving some of us the snickers..... :)

Avoid Boom Bass. This cab has been sitting in a climate controlled storage unit and the tolex is peeling away. He had issues early on with tolex peeling and supposedly fixed the issue with a new glue. Well, I guess not. Was going to sell it, but can't like this. So, I guess it's some duct tape and it goes into reserve as a backup cab. I wouldn't expect this on a $400 cab let alone a $1400 cab. If he's charging big league prices, he needs to deliver big league product.

EDIT : $1507 cabinet.

Looking into these cab, question ponders in my mind.. if this design works so well, why hasn't any other cab mfg made something like this ? i mean I get it they want you to buy the 210 and the 15 cabs, $1800 to over $2000 for the pair vs buying one BBC cab $1600.
BBC uses the Faitals, yeah go price those speakers out! OUCH ! about $900 in cost, I lam looking to try one out very soon !

I have his 212 for almost 4 years and it’s been great. And he’s not the only one to orient speakers like that. It’s a common subwoofer technique that he integrates.

Every once in a while a manufacturer comes along and tries to cram many drivers, even of different sizes, all hooked in parallel, into what's an obvious badly designed too small cabinet. Please like what they "See", many drivers, small cabinet, huge power rating.

They don't work good. There's never any measurements nor objective critical listening test comparisons to other cabs.

You don't see these designs in other audio disciplines such as FOH as they don't work.
