booze, women, and drummers

I guess it's trust and understanding. My girlfriend understands I don't like that kind of thing so out of respect she makes sure that she isn't being flirtatious or dancing in a sea of dudes while im performing (or anytime), and it's vise versa. I like when my girl comes to my gigs, she don't drink very much and my bass turns her on so it's all good!

My fiancee doesnt really go out and dance. But, she is an attractive woman, sitting alone at a show. The guys just pick her out. I dont have to worry about being jealous, I just have to worry about obnoxious guys that are bothering her.

I had a drummer like that. Every three or four songs he would hold up his empty bottle from behind the kit and hit it with his sticks.......that was his signal to his wife to get him another, and she would.

By the end of the night he was so polluted, that when she'd ask him how many drinks he had, he would reply "One..........right after another."

I'm with you there Puttz.
My fiancee comes to maybe a third of my gigs, and thats the way I like it.
I dont want to have to worry about some guy bothering her, or even having to stay by her between sets. I want to be out socializing with crowd to market the band.

Yep, then you avoid "situations" like this thread is about. Man if that happened at 1 of our gigs, we would get our pay docked or lose the gig. which is what should happen. You are there to do a job ( in the eyes of the venue management).

Eh, this is the kind of stuff I can't stand. I probably would of packed up my gear, and left on the spot. I like my fun to be less dramatic personally.

I find that hard to believe. I take it you wouldn't ever want to play there again, or in any other place that that owner knew the owner. A tarnished reputation is a tough thing to polish.
