Could anyone comment on the slicer effect? I had the SL 20 standalone unit but sold it because I could not actually use it in anger on a gig. But I miss it and this is ticking other boxes for me as well. Can the slicer be programmed to specific bpm?

Slicer has BPM settings for eighth note, dotted eighth, quarter, etc. However there is no MIDI In on the box, and no numerical BPM setting that I'm aware of. So the BPM is based on your tap tempo. Unless there's a way to also base it on the control inputs, possibly.

Just started using an MS3 as the brain of my guitar rig. VERY happy with it! It does have limitations (number of loops, effect ordering, can't reorder loops) but as I usually find with gear- some limitations are a good thing. At least in terms of practical musical performance.
The built in effects are better than I anticipated for guitar. For me there's just enough signal routing flexibility to make it a very smart performance rig. More importantly for me, it's dead quiet for studio use! I did an extensive a/b test through one of my amps and can't detect any appreciable signal degradation. It does buffer the signal, so there are changes there, but I know what to expect in that dept.
Seriously considering using one for my large/studio bass rig as well. I have a love/hate relationship with digital effects but this unit is pretty great.

Am toying with the idea of getting one. But wanna know what the dirt is like on the MS-3. As i dont mind having a dirt pedal in one loop but really dont wanna need to bring more than 1 dirt to the board.
Mainly interest in fuzz (gated or not) and distortion sounds.

The bass OD and Distortion are really decent. I only use a fuzz in the loops. And a Wah in loop #2
Sorry if this has been answered before. (Long thread!) Can anyone tell me if the loops can be used as aux outs? If i activate loop one and i have the ms-3 loop 1 send going to an overdrive what happens if The output of the overdrive doesn’t get connected to the loop one return? In other words by having the three loops feed effects which enter a mixer on their own separate inputs distinct from the MS-3 can you create three different parallel paths?
