Boss CE-5, CEb-3 or old CE-3?

I know this has been asked before, but I figured I'd get updated responses from anyone with an opinion.

Absolutely hating my Mr. Black Doublechorus on bass, but want a decent, cheap chorus for occasional recording. Yes, I know mooer exists, but I have my eye on any one of the above 3 boss pedals.

Had a Tech 21 and didn't like it. Just wasn't deep enough for my taste.

If you had to choose between a CE-5, CEB-3 or old analog CE-3, which one would you choose and why?

I'm leaning towards the CE-5 or CE-3, but figure I'd solicit opinions on the CEB-3. On videos it sounds tame in comparison to the others. I am looking for a strong noticeable effect, but that still cuts thru. That is my problem with the Mr. Black. Sounds great alone, but totally gets lost in a mix. Also, there is a noticable volume drop with it and it distorts easily too.

I always thought the ce-5 was a killer pedal. Enjoyed mine when I had it.

I think the Boss CE-3 is one of the greatest and most underrated pedals from the Boss universe...
Whilst it's chorus tones are probably NOT in the same realm of the CE-2, it's serviceable enough. For me, though, the real gem in this pedal is the vibrato! Super musical and very bass friendly - so bass friendly I could hardly believe my enormous disappointment when I got my hands on a Chase Bliss Audio Warped Vinyl. This is not to diss the Chase Bliss unit (IMO the thing is as close to perfect on guitar as I could imagine) but rather to say it is not ideal for bass. This may be an old thread but I never get tired of promoting the CE-3... especially as it's so cheap!
