Worth it for bass? I know they are awesome for guitars but bass it could be interesting alongside my vintage rat...your thoughts??

The CS-3? I just picked one up a few weeks ago, figuring I'd poke around here and figure out what mod would make it okay with bass, and pull out the soldering iron...
Thing is...mine sounds great on it's own, stock. It gives a little bit of mid range fattening, but the lows are actually still there. The Attack speed is, to me, the most important parameter control and it's got it.
I've been through over half a dozen compressors trying to find "the one" - honestly, this one really does the trick. YMMV, etc... but totally worth a shot, considering it's mod-ability if it needs tweaking to your ears, with your gear, etc.

I have one and I think it does its job well... I know there are plenty better compressors out there but I am happy with it. I use it mainly as a limiter so my sustain is always on Min.
I have used this one in the past and is OK but not perfect. I hear there is a mod kit you can use to make it more suitable for bass. Right now I use the compressor circuit on my Eden WTDI and works perfectly so I am thinking this will now go back onto my guitar pedalboard.
Bongo's review mention that its OK when modded for bass. I had 2 stock and found them adequate (not a compressor guru) in terms of compression, but noisy. Did love the sustain I got out of'em though. I ended up selling each one and finally got a BBE mustache-unt-monocle. Happy, for now.
