Boss FV-500H?

Is the Boss FV-500H only for the guitar? Or can I use it for the bass, without having further problems?

It's just a volume pot inside. Will work with any signal source.

Check the impedance. If your bass is active, you need a low-Z pedal. Ditto if you are running after a buffer of any sort. If your bass is passive and you are plugging straight in to it, then you're fine.
