Double Bass Boss GE-7 v GEB-7 EQ

Anybody tried the Boss GEB-7 graphic eq on their DB? Did you notice that it added more 'roundness' / more bottom end sound? Did you have wing pickups on the bridge?

If you have used the Boss GE-7 graphic eq how did the two compare?

I’ve had a Boss bass EQ in my gig bag for years. It’s a brilliant little box that can fatten up just about any bass pickup.
The input is 1MOhm which is a good start and there’s plenty of clean gain and obviously, some good EQ sculpting.

Are there better bass preamps? Of course. But I always bring mine in case I need a little more juice in front of the amp in loud rooms, with loud drummers, etc.

I remember when they first released the GEB-7, I was using an Underwood Pickup into a GK 200MB. I actually preferred the EQ on the 200MB to the GEB-7. But that was a while back.
What I remember was that the GEB-7 added audible noise to the signal chain, when you used their AC Power supply. This wasn't an issue using a 9 Volt battery as the power source.
If I were to purchase one I'd get the GEB-7 because the EQ points are better suited for bass. For it's price it can be a very effective tool. Just my take.
