Boss GT-10B (part 2)

I can't remember where the setting is on the GT-10B, in the System menu somewhere,
but if you use GT-10BFxFloorBoard editor, in the System tab "input and patch settings",
set "PREAMP MODE" from 'patch' to 'system 1'
then check the "system preamp 1" page to see if the preamp is switched 'off'.

Oh yes i see them there..they were all set to off

I looked at an pic of my last "regular" board, and I realised it was all about a clean signal and effects - so turning off the pre-amps, tone controls - basically anything that might muddy the sound is a smart decision for me.
Plus, I recently took all the stock kit (pups and EQ) out of me TRB6 and replaced it with Bartolini G6s and 1 single volume and I want to hear that, not some EQ LOL

I like the GT10b..Although I recently bought a polytune, it has a great tuner..I use it mostly now for quick changes between guitars and preamp configurations for level control..I use a couple of other effects and tone controls sparingly and some other effects for a few tunes....its very solid and well build Have never had a problem with it.

Oh i found it in manual...page 73!

Looking for some help here.

I have a patch set to toggle in and out of manual mode with the signal level. How would I assign a pedal to toggle the tuner on and be shown in the display?
As of right now, I use ctrl ped 2 for the tuner, but when it sees signal it reverts to manual mode and I’m unable to tune on that patch. If I make pdl 1 in manual mode the tuner, it must see signal to get to manual mode then I can press the pdl for tuner, but when I mute the fretted note to switch strings it reverts back to the patch select screen and I have to do it all over again to get to the tuner which I run in mute mode.

Any ideas for a assign ?

Just check the manual..you can set the first 4 pedals so that you can step on them, and the patch switches to the tuner and mutes the signal.

Correct, but when doing so if I mute the strings and there is no input signal, it then reverts back regular mode. I haven’t found a way for it to stay in tuner mode when there is no signal present.

Hmm..been using it for many years as above...tuner works perfectly and mutes...the mute function is in the settings

Pop the unit open and get some contact cleaner or isopropyl alcohol on the expression pedal pots. Mine had acted up in a similar way (couldn't calibrate) and this fixed it right up.

Not sure what's happening with your noise suppressors though. Can you post a sample?
