There isn't really a typical bypass on the GT-1B. I mean, it isn't like there's a bypass switch. You've got your virtual chain, and you can turn things on and off in that chain, but you can't just bypass the whole thing. Closest would be either an empty effect chain, chain with everything off, or maybe tuner bypass mode?
If you're worried about what it sounds like "bypassed", you're missing the point of the unit, IMO. To me, that's outside the scope of its intended use cases.
Obviously this is just my opinion. That's how it feels to me when I use it.
