ok, you sucked me back in. You have valid points. I will admit that the HH is not as percise as an expression pedal, but the benefit to me is being able to move my hand faster than my foot. And I can still use an expression pedal at the same time. My first approach with it was like you are thinking, keep my hands free to work the bass, but that was more because the HH was moving or too sensitive with it on my hand. So I put it on the headstock and it works really well. I have moved it to my hand and have presets that activate it only when I want it. It's definately not for everyone, but it size is an advantage over a keyboard and I'm not seeing them as that similar like you are, sorry I just don't. But I totally understand your perception of it if you are only seeing these extreme techno videos using it. It doesn't all have to be synthy-techno, you can use it for anything an expression pedal can control.

As i can see in this video bassist wobble is done by using boss me20b exp pedal. But what can it do? it doesnt have tremolo, vibrato or filters?

It's pretty clear in the video that he's controlling the wobble with two controllers. ME-20b expression pedal for the beginning or slower part and the hot hand for the faster.

My suggestion for the ME-20b? Try setting up a patch with compression-synth-distortion-EQ-wah pedal, in that order. tweek your sound with the wah full or almost full open, that way when you pull back on the pedal it will knock down the highs. What tone you get is up to you, but that should give you a chance at getting a good wobble effect.

This isn't about what's "proper," this is about what's practical. I am presenting a practical question: once you are no longer touching your bass strings, what is the point of playing a bass?

Tell me, what's easier: playing a note on a keyboard with one hand while using a knob to modify envelope etc. with the other...OR...wearing a bass guitar and fretting it with your left hand while using a finger-mounted expression device to trigger a separate effect pedal and modify envelope etc, while hoping that it won't glitch? How is this even a question? Seriously?

At that point you'd be better off just playing a keyboard. The only reason not to is if you don't know how to play keyboard...I am truly baffled.

Finally, it's hilarious that you supposedly "despise" people who "tell everyone else what proper is" when your own signature is doing just that. And I imagine if I were to look at your past posts I'd find plenty of examples of you "telling everyone else what proper is."
