boss micro br trouble¡¡

I purchased yesterday, the boss micro br, it seems to be, a fantastic machines...

But when I connect my bass via the guitar in, it was a very very low output...
I have only one pickup in the neck a emg dc 35, with 18v, and sound well in the speakers...
But if I try to conect it in the guitar in, or in the line in, it almost hasn´t sound...

This afternoon, I would try the micro Br, with my teacher´s bass, but I think I must add a jazz bass pickup (perharps bartolini) in the neck position with his own output jack, I hope if I do this, it works¡¡

does the micro br, record well with bass pickups? What pickups do you have?

I have used my (still only a few days old) Micro BR with the following guitars:

Gibson Les Paul 6 string guitar (passive HH)
Fender Geddy (Passive 2x single coils)
EBMM Bongo5 (Active HH)
Ibanez 5 (active 2x single coil)

All worked fine.

I am by no means an expert with the Micro BR yet, but I would check my input level (dial on the right side of the BR) and the track level (read the manual for this one). If that doesn't work, call Boss or read the manual's troubleshooting info.

In my class, the micro Br works regular with a passive cheap Hofner, but better than my emg system, and really well, with a passive yamaha,
In resume, it´s a fault of the emgs...
Now I must install another pickups, I will go passive, a hot pickup, perhaps, dimarzio in the neck...

I have a Schecter bass with EMG Hz pickups and some kind of 18VDC preamp, but it puts out less signal than my passive EBMM SUB5. At some point when I have extra $$ (ha-ha) I'm replacing the electronics in this bass.

I love how the bass feels as well as its small body and light weight, but the signal it feeds to my amp is dull and lifeless compared to the sound it has acoustically. This was my first real bass so it wasn't until I picked up other basses I realized how bad the output is on my Schecter.

I have no problems recording my Bongo so far with the Micro BR. Haven't tried any other basses yet though.

now I installed a seymour duncan hot stack and with the micro br, it makes a lot of noise¡¡¡

at live it´s fantastic, but with micro Br, it can´t be used....





but then i realised if I put maximun volume in the emg, it works almost free of noise¡¡¡

at least it´s something ¡¡¡
